Homework and Journaling suggestions:

  • practice orienting

  • apply orienting + affirm practice when overwhelmed or defensive

  • journal discoveries from orienting practice

  • journal felt sense of safety practices (self hug)

  • create vocabulary for felt senses

Restore Module

Class 2 Exploring our felt sense of safety

Homework and journaling suggestions:

  • Keep practicing orienting

  • Try the reacquainting with the body practice

  • When in overwhelm or defense states use the body to regulate not the mind

  • Explore and journal ‘yes’, ‘no’ and ‘maybe’ for felt sense safety practices

  • Keep creating your vocabulary for felt senses

Restore Module

Class 3 Deepening our felt sense of safety

Homework and journaling suggestions:

  • Keep practicing one of the orienting methods

  • Also practice one other somatic movement exercise

  • Keep exploring felt sense when it’s uncomfortable to do so Part 1, a ‘Body Knowing’ practice

  • Keep creating your vocabulary for felt senses
